Next talks between Azerbaijan and Venice Commission to be held on November 9-10

The problem concerning Azerbaijan was discussed at the last plenary session of Venice Commission.

"After some amendments to the law 'On the freedom of assembly' sum extraction was prepared at the session attended by the Azerbaijani representative and commission reporters," CE Venice commission administrator Alain Chablais told the APA European bureau.

He stated that at the moment they maintain regular contact with the Azerbaijani President Administration. "Azerbaijani side is interested in the amendment. Now Azerbaijani President Administration should present its proposals. We have not received the amendments to be proposed by Azerbaijan yet. The next meeting of Venice Commission representatives with Azerbaijan Government will be held on November 9-10 in Baku," Chablais said.

Chablais approved Fuad Aleskerov's, President's Office Department on work with law enforcement chief statement about making technical amendments to the law of 'On the freedom of assembly.'
