Azerbaijan and Turkey discuss energy transfer to Nakhchivan

Azerbaijan and Turkey are negotiating on energy transfer to Nakhchivan for 2007 Azerenergy OJSC President Etibar Pirverdiyev said.

He said that this issue has been discussed many times, APA reports.

"Finance Ministry and other bodies are discussing the volume of electricity to be purchased and the energy quota for Nakhchivan for 2007."

He stressed that gas supply to Nakhchivan can trim down the demand for electricity.
