Georgia intends to get Iranian electricity through Azerbaijan

Georgian Fuel and Energy Minister Nika Gilauri will visit Iran to hold talks on gas imports on October 22-23.

The main aim of the visit is to discuss energy cooperation potential between the two countries, Georgian Fuel and Energy Ministry spokesman Teona Doliashvili told APA.

She said Nika Gilauri will discuss electric energy import from Iran through Azerbaijan, at the same time, an agreement on energy transit through Armenia has been reached.

Iran's gas import to Georgia will also be discussed in Tehran.
