Egg price to fall

11 October 2006 [08:53] - TODAY.AZ
The price of eggs is expected to fall as from the second half of October, National Poultry Society chief Aydin Valiyev told.

He attributed the high egg price to the egg shortage in the market due to Bird Flu.

"It takes chicken 150 days to be able to lay an egg and 35 days to get weight. The period will be over in the second quarter of October and the price will go down," he said.

He also said 65-70% of the market is currently supplied with enough eggs and this figure will reach 100% in late October, APA reports.
