WB signs agreement on Health Sector Reform Project

Azerbaijan and World Bank signed an agreement on Health Sector Reform Project yesterday.

US$28.3mn was allocated by he Government of Azerbaijan, US8mn by USAID, US$0.47mn by UNICEF and $35 000 by the World Health organization.

The project planned for last 6 years.

"The Health Sector Reform Project for Azerbaijan aims to improve overall health system. The principal purpose is to renew the health system," he said.

World Bank representative Enis Barish said the WB has supported heath projects in Azerbaijan since 2001, APA reports.
