Turkish Transportation Minister to leave for Baku on Sunday

Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim will leave for the Azeri capital of Baku on Sunday to participate in the Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (GAID) meeting.

Apart from the GAID meeting, which will be held at the ministerial level, Yildirim and the accompanying Turkish delegation will also visit the 12th International Exhibition for Telecommunication and Information (Bakutel 2006). They are set to participate in a conference on recent trends in telecommunications.

GAID was launched in Malaysia in June as a means of utilizing new technologies to fight poverty and promote development. Cihan News Agency
