SOCAR transfers money to AFFA's account

As SOCAR refused to allocate funds to AFFA's account as an official sponsor of Azerbaijani national team, the team faced problem in playing against Portuguese and Belgium teams in the qualifying stage of the European Championship. In this case, the national team planned to travel through ordinary flight not charter flight to the matches.

AFFA secretary general Fuad Asadov told the APA SOCAR transferred AZN 150 000 to AFFA's account.

"But that is not all. SOCAR will allocated funds to the federation under the contract," he said.
