900, 000 tourists came to Azerbaijan in the first half of the year

Over 1, 200 000 foreigners came to Azerbaijan in the first half of the year. 900,000 of them were tourists, Culture and Tourism Ministry told.

The number of tourists has risen compared to last year. 1,300 000 foreigners came to Azerbaijan last year out of 800,000 were tourists, APA reports.

There are 262 hotels and inns in Azerbaijan. September 27 is the day of Tourism and it is celebrated since 2001 in Azerbaijan.
