ADP provides workshop within CAREC Program

ADB Office in Baku told APA that the principal aim of the workshop is to give information to the Government and international organizations about the program. Representatives from Economic Development Ministry and relevant international organizations will attend the workshop.

Established in 1997, CAREC Program is an ADB-supported initiative to promote economic growth and raise living standards in the region by encouraging economic cooperation. The program covers Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

ADB plans to allocate $1.5bn for this project in 2006-2007.
