Poland to back Azerbaijan's membership to WTO

It was stressed during the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Poland intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation held September 11-13 in Warsaw.

Moreover, the sides discussed at the meeting how to bring Azerbaijani laws in line with European Union requirements, banking control, financial stability, protection of intellectual property, creation of technological parks and economic zones.

Trade turnover between Poland and Azerbaijan made up USD 22,6 million, up 3.7% from a year ago. Trade turnover has exceeded USD 11.7 million for the past six years.
