The workshop was hosted by the Azerbaijan Agribusiness Center and supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Center representative Bill Mays said that Azerbaijani agribusiness entrepreneurs chiefly deliver their goods to Russian market, however Interest in Azerbaijan's agricultural goods high in Northern America and Europe as well.
The USAID-supported workshop was attended by Azerbaijani agribusiness entrepreneurs, international buyers, and representatives of international banks, transportation experts, and certification specialists.
Among the topics discussed were an overview of opportunities in the agribusiness export market, the expectations of international buyers, rules and regulations, the role of commercial banks and financial intermediaries in promoting trade finance, and effective methods of transportation, APA reports.
