President: "The state budget will rise by 50 percent next year"

The state budget of Azerbaijan will rise at least by 50 percent next year, said President Ilham Aliyev in a speech delivered before the residents of Zabrat settlement.

The head of state said the state budget for 2007 will be adopted soon, and everyone will witness the rise in the budget, APA reports.

Stating that there is a big currency flow into the country, President Aliyev said these incomes are spent in efficient way.

"We plan to increase minimum salary and pensions soon. The ongoing social development in Azerbaijan should target improvement of welfare of the population, and we are making efforts for that. We think it is high time to turn material values into human capital. The current development in the country ensures to do that," the head of state underlined.
