4 899 tonnes of agricultural goods sold at eight-week fairs

4899.25 tonnes of agrarian goods were sold at fairs held in Baku from July 12 through September 11.

The agricultural goods sold during this period include 524 tonnes of fruits, 427 tonnes of potatoes, 122 tonnes of grains, 1 108 tonnes of melons and gourds, 2 379 tonnes of vegetables, 180 tonnes of canned food, 98.26 tonnes of dairy and 59 tonnes of meat products.

Agriculture Ministry organizes agricultural fairs on every Saturday and Sunday. The principal aim is to rein inflation. 16 fairs have been held in Baku during eight weeks, APA reports.
