The workload has been decreased in Boss Shelf by 50 percent, Allahyar Eyyubov, chief of Trade Union of Azerbaijani Workers told.
He said the cause for reduction is the end of phase III of the development of offshore oilfields. The chief said the future of workers is under question. He said the Trade Union signed an agreement with the Boss Self on not reducing the workers till next April.
"1,300 workers of the Boss Shelf take the workload of 600 workers now. This company intends to take participating interest of giant projects and continue its activity after April next year," he said.
Eyyubov also said Azerbaijani workers are concerned about the current situation.
"I believe the Azerbaijani government is thinking about the way out of the situation."
The State Oil Company said they have no information about the matter, APA reports.
