Azerphone gives a trial

Azerphone, the third mobile operator-to-be of Azerbaijan has started a trial, Deputy Minister of communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov said.

He said the provider will be in full operation by November, APA reports.

"We discussed the current position with Azerphone leadership yesterday. The necessary equipment has already been brought and is being installed now."

Azerphone JV has received license on December 28 last year. Aztelecom has 10 percent participating interest, Siemens 30 percent, two British companies 60 percent.
