Russia has moved only one place up, APA reports. Unlike Azerbaijan, Armenia is in 34th place.
The "Doing Business" report ranks 175 economies, tracking indicators of the time and cost to meet government requirements to start and close a business, obtain licenses, get credit, pay taxes and other areas. According to the results of the research, in Azerbaijan, registration of a company requires 53 days, minimal stock of 9.5 percent of national income per capita. Getting license takes 28 days and registration of a property takes 61 days.
Singapore took the first place on doing business, leaving New Zealand, the last year's leader, to the second place. They are followed by the USA, Canada.
As to former Soviet countries, Estonia is in 17th place, Latvia 24, Kazakhstan 63, Kyrgyzstan 90, Russia 96, Moldova 103, Ukraine 128, Belarus 129, Tajikistan 133 and Uzbekistan 147.
