TengizChevroil to produce 13 million tn of oil in 2006

Kazakhstan's TengizChevroil JSC plans to produce more than 13 million tonnes of oil in the current year, representative of the company Zhumageldy Yelyubayev has said on Tuesday at a briefing-seminar Review of oil industry.

According to him, the following years TengizChevroil intends to increase production of oil in connection with the launch of a new plant. The company usually uses Caspian pipelines. As for Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline the company is holding talks in this direction, Mr. Yelyubayev noted.

Currently the company is studying opportunities of joining the initiative of transparency. On the other hand TengizChevroil is always open for the state, public and mass media, he added.
