Barda officials fail to pay electricity supply bills

Regional meeting dedicated to collection of fees for electricity, gas and other public utilities and removing shortfall in this field was held in Ganja city executive power.

First deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov announced some officials, who failed to pay electricity supply bill.

As APA reports, Eyyubov said after the latest Cabinet meeting chaired by the head of state, special commissions were established by the order of Azerenergy president Etibar Pirverdiyev.

"The commission first of all investigated the issue on officials’ paying electricity supply bill. The investigation found out that some officials in Barda region paid electricity bill in very low level. Deputy head of executive power of Barda Aliyev Natig paid only 34 manats for the electricity consumed in seven months. He is to pay 871 manats now. Barda post office chief Vidadi Ismayilov did not pay any electricity bill in seven months, and he is to pay 987 manats now," he said.

The names of other officials failing to pay the electricity supply were announced in the meeting.
