Minimum salary to be raised by 50%

Azerbaijani Government is studying the reality on harmonization of minimum salary with the subsistence level, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov told journalists.

He said that the issue is being discussed with relevant bodies especially with Labor and Population's Social Protection Ministry and a decision will be made in a month.

He doesn't rule out that minimum salary will be raised by 25-50%. At present minimum salary is AZN 30 in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
