Program on development of railway system of Azerbaijan to be worked out at the WB initiative

The World Bank intends to finance a number of projects on development of railroad system.

As APA reports, this issue was under discussion at the meetings of Mr. Peter Thomson, Director of Infrastructure Sector in the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank.

"The World Bank is currently reviewing a number of projects on modernization of transport infrastructure and railway system in Azerbaijan. The Bank proposed to work out a special program on development of railway system. The Government welcomed the proposal."
