Hajigabul Ranjbar villagers intends to sue BP, SOCAR and State Land and Cartography Committee

The organization chief Sahib Mammadov informs that they plan to appeal to Sabayel Court.

According to APA, 20 villagers in Hajigabul were deprived of their legal lands.

"Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to allot 1 500 hectares of land during restoration of Baku-Supsa oil pipeline. The villagers have been the owner of this land since 1998, but the decision still is on the paper. The pipeline guards don’t let the villagers to use their lands."

The land owners have not been paid any damages either the government or the companies.

"We demand restoration of the property rights, compensation for the lost incomes and return of the lands. We will file the claim appeal to Sabayel Court."
