Hydroelectric power stations to be built on Araks river

Azeri and Iranian experts discuss a joint project.

Azerbaijan-Iran experts commission held its first meeting in Tabriz to discuss building of the two 36-megawatt hydroelectric power stations on the Araks River, according to press service of the JSC Azerenerji, Azerbaijan's major electricity company.

Under the terms of agreement, Azerbaijan will build the first station in Ordubad province, while Iran will build the second in Maraza province.
