383 700 apartments privatized in Azerbaijan so far

This indicator is 63.1% of the properties planned to be privatized.

State Statistical Committee told APA that the population has privatized 5 600 flats of 356 100 sq m in the first half of the year (3 100 flats (194 400 sq m) in the first quarter and 2 500 (161 700 sq m) in second quarter). This indicator of the first half is 2.4% of the total flat fund.

3 700 (66.3%) of these flats were privatized in Baku.

The committee also said that the highest privatization rate was registered in 1992-1998.

20 500 flats of 1 175 800 sq m were privatized in 1992, 32 100 flats of 1 681 700 sq m in 1993, 44 000 flats of 2 044 900 sq m in 1994, 48 500 flats of 2 450 600 sq m in 1995, 42 000 flats of 2 302 300 sq m in 1996, 41 600 flats of 2 210 800 sq m in 1997 and 26 700 flats of 1 485 700 sq m in 1998.
