Azerbaijani State Customs Committee found 2 415 irregularities

Azerbaijani State Customs Committee found 2 415 irregularities in January-June. 77 of which is of crime and 71 people were detained as suspicious.

Currency smuggling predominates among the irregularities, APA reports.

Customs bodies seized 1.660 kg of gold, 161 jewels, 46 020 dollars and 5 200 counterfeited dollars. 24 facts of illegal narcotics turnover were found and 11.8336 kilos of narcotics as well as 2.746 kilos of opium, 8.594 kilos of marijuana, 255 grams of heroin, 7 grams of hashish were seized. 510 juridical (171 foreigners) and 1830 physical persons (344 foreigners) were taken accountable on 2338 customs irregularities.

Monetary penalties of 162627 manats were made and 19526 manats were seized.

Of irregularities, 4 facts on carrying of goods and automobiles without customs control, 44 smuggling facts, 351 with non-declaration, 124 temporally imports, 19 import facts with excise and others.

Abroad made 4302420 cigarettes, 24340 kilos of tobacco, 42 liters of spirit, 1062 alcoholic beverages were seized. Besides, 65 kilos of caviar, 1630 liters of oil products, 1740 pyrotechnical means, 16.5kilos of Armenian-made coffee and other goods were seized.
