1.5bn kilowatt/h of the said volume was generated by thermoelectric power stations and 0.1bn kilowatt by water power stations.
Power generation increased by 4% as against June of last year.
Azerenergy OJSC told APA that power was exchanged with Russia, Iran and Turkey in this month. 74mn kilowatt/h was imported from Russia, 18.6mn kilowatt/h from Turkey and 39.3mn kilowatt/h from Iran.
Totally, Azerbaijan's energy system per se generated 12.4bn kilowatt/h in January-July this year. Of the volume 10.8bnkilowatt/h was generated by thermoelectric power stations and 936mn kilowatt/h by water power stations.
Power generation in this year's first half decreased by 11% as against first half of last year.
