Reconstruction of Airport Road to start in a month

Transport Minister Traffic Service officer Javid Gurbanov told journalists that this road is 14.5 km long and reconstruction works need AZN 28-35mln.

"Besides, 5 bridges will be planned to be built on the road and total cost of them is AZN 70mln. Also taking into account compensations for removal of communication lines, houses near the road, filling stations and so on, we can easily say that reconstruction will cost 145mln."

Saying it has already been initiated to remove buildings near railways, Mr. Gurbanov said that it is planned to provide compensations for some of them and to remove some of them to other places.

"In this case residents have no fault. Executive Committees who had authorized construction of these buildings are to blame."
