Transport of goods rises 12.3% in Azerbaijani part of TRACECA corridor

In January-April cargo transport rose 12.3% in comparison with last year's respective period to 16mln ton on Azerbaijani part of TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia).

This figure constitutes 37.6% of goods transported in transportation sector of Azerbaijan.

State Statistical Committee told APA that AZN71.9mln income has been gained from the transportation of goods and this figure is 2.5% more than that of January-April of 2005. 57.7% of income was earned from railway, 15.3% from sea transport and 27% from automobile transport, APA reports.
