Minimum pension in Azerbaijan to make AZN55 by 2008

It is expected that minimum level of pensions will be reached to AZN55 for 2008.

Salim Muslumov, the Chief of State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan, has stated that base level of pensions will be equaled to subsistence level.

The Ministry of Economic Development has already submitted proposals to the Fund.

Mr. Muslumov has also told that pensions will be raised again on October, 1 this year. The minimum level of pension is AZN30 now, APA reports.
