Azerbaijan's crude oil exports to Czech Republic surge in 2024

In the first nine months of 2024, Azerbaijan significantly increased its exports of crude oil and products derived from bituminous rocks to the Czech Republic, reaching over 1.24 million tons, valued at 790 million US dollars, and according to Azernews, citing the State Customs Committee, this represents a 49% increase in value, or 259.8 million dollars, and a 36% rise in volume, or 330.1 thousand tons, compared to the same period in 2023.

Overall, Azerbaijan exported more than 17.6 million tons of crude oil products, valued at 11 billion dollars, during this period.

The Czech Republic emerged as the third-largest importer of Azerbaijani crude oil products, accounting for 7.08% of total exports.
