Jean Lemierre: "Azerbaijani government must accelerate economy's diversification"

"Azerbaijan is changing and the changing process is successfully going on. Great incomes enter the country. This development should be directed," Mr. Lemierre added. The EBRD President recommended conducting diversification on various fields of the economy. According to his words, this process is very important in the spheres of agribusiness, road infrastructure, and industry.

Mr.Lemierre noted that Azerbaijan should expand relations in all fields with Russia and Europe. "Russia is an important country for Azerbaijan from the energy and political viewpoints. It is also an important market. The government of Azerbaijan should consider this fact and attach significance to relations with Europe as well. There are great opportunities for it."
