Samir Sharifov: "Companies joining EITI to grow in number"

According to Sharifov, so far 22 companies involved in the oil and gas industry have joined the initiative. There are only two companies left this sphere, which have not joined the EITI, but it will not affect the process. Moreover, they are participants of the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) and the reports submitted by the AIOC contain general data on the said companies, Sharifov underlined.

So far three reports of the government on remittances from oil and gas companies have been publicized, Trend reports.
