State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents starts inspections

01 April 2006 [09:30] - TODAY.AZ
The State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents will start inspections in all petrol-filling stations operating throughout the republic from April 1.

According APA, inspections will be aimed at examination of the quality of fuel sold in filling stations and petrol-filling devices.

The State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents appealed to the Tariff Council with a proposal to raise some tariffs for standardization services.

"Today our employees spend about a week for accreditation of a large laboratory. AZN 20 is transferred to the government in return for it. Accreditation of an analogous laboratory costs $30 thousand in Russia. We want the tariffs to be doubled," - Mr.Hesenov, the Chair of the Agency, said.

Mr.Hesenov also noted that some legislative documents were prepared and submitted to the government and parliament.
