GDP volume will increase by 30% in 2006

GDP is forecasted to increase by 30% to AZN 16.3 billion in 2006 and by 31.3% to AZN 21.4 billion in 2007 in Azerbaijan.

According to the forecast on 2006-2007 prepared by specialists of the Ministry, high growth of GDP will be accompanied by high development of the non-state sector as well.

So, share of the non-state sector in GDP is forecasted to be 77% in 2006 and 79% in 2007.

Real growth rate is forecasted to be 50% in industry and 9.5% in agriculture in 2006.

At the same time, measures aimed at further improvement of the investment climate will be continued and AZN 5.9 billion of capital is expected to be invested in the economy of the country in 2006 at the expense of all sources. Volume of foreign investments is forecasted to be AZN 3.5 billion this year, and AZN 2.6 billion in 2007.

According to APA, specialists of the Ministry consider that measures implemented will lead to the increase of monetary incomes, average monthly salary and pensions of population.

So, average monthly salary of employees working in the separate fields of the economy is expected to increase by 32.3% to AZN 156.1 in 2006 and by 25% to AZN 195.1 in 2007.
