JICA to take part in assessment report preparation

22 March 2006 [14:49] - TODAY.AZ
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) experts will take part in preparing the assessment report for the combined-cycle plant construction in the "Shimal" electric power station.

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) issued a loan on construction of the first 400-megawatt combined-cycle plant in the Shimal station, AzerTAg reports.

The similar second combined-cycle plant is expected to be installed here this year. This plant will be constructed with JBIC's funding as well.

Joint JICA-JBIC mission will arrive in Baku by late May. The Japanese experts will survey how the electric power station operates, detect shortcomings and assess how to effectively use funds on the project.
