"In line with our Strategic Plan, we conducted 4 performance (productivity) audits in 2021 and 5 in 2022. SDGs were assessed for 2 of the selected topics in 2021 and 5 in 2022, for these years a total of 6 objectives The SDG objectives were adopted as one of the audit criteria. The audits also analyzed whether the calculations made by the State Statistics Committee for indicators included in the global SDG indicator system coincided with the audit results. The efficiency audits we conducted assessed the compliance of actual indicators with the target indicators, i.e. the progress achieved," V. Gulmammadov noted.

The Chairman of the Chamber noted that during these years the Accounting Chamber covered 16 indicators of the SDGs, 13 of which fell on the share of 2022. SDG targets and indicators allow AAQ to conduct audits in three broad areas. In addition to assessing progress, there can also be audits of goals (assessing whether the goals are realistic, properly understanding the work to be done on needs) and audits of indicators (assessing their validity and accuracy). out. The increase in results-based budgeting will also allow these audit approaches to be used by the Court of Accounts.
