In February 418.6m cubic metres of natural gas imported from Russia

As APA was informed from SOCAR, volume of gas purchased from Russia in January of the current year was 891 million cubic metres. So, Azerbaijan imported approximately 14.8 million cubic metres of gas from Russia during the day.

At present Azerbaijan imports natural gas from Russia on the basis of an agreement signed between SOCAR and Gasexport Ltd., which is the affiliated company of the Gasprom Open Joint-Stock Company of Russia. Pursuant to the agreement signed at the end of the last year, 4.5 billion cubic metres of gas is planned to be purchased from Russia throughout this year.
