ABTC to start conducting long-term courses at the end of year

The Azerbaijan Bank Training Centre (ABTC) will start conducting long-term courses from the 4th quarter of 2006.

As the director of ABTC Javanshir Abdullayev told APA, while marketing courses are conducted for 6 days now, persons wishing to work as marketing manager in companies and banks will attend three-month courses from the end of this year: "After completion of courses, participants will take an examination. They will be given certificates in accordance with examination's results. These courses are provided for training of professional employees for banks and non-banking credit organizations, small and medium size enterprises."

Mr.Abdullayev also noted that international accreditation of ABTC will also be realized in these days. It is planned to start negotiations with accreditation institutions situated in America and Europe. The goal is to improve the quality of services provided by ABTC to international level.

ABTC was established in February, 2000 with the support from the TACIS Project of the European Union.

The Centre conducts approximately 200 courses every year.

Over 630 courses have been organized in the Centre so far and more than 7850 participants attended those courses.

The number of participants attended courses last year was more than the previous years. 12 course programs will be implemented within this month.

Courses will be about business ethics, leadership, corporate governance, agricultural crediting, advertising and promotion and other themes.

Courses will be led by both local and foreign specialists.
