Azerbaijan ranks first in CIS for growth of industrial production

In January 2006 the highest growth pace in industrial production in CIS was fixed in Azerbaijan, which turned out 40% more than last year, according to data by the CIS Interstate Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan is followed by Belarus and Tajikistan with 4.4% and then comes Kazakhstan. In January drop in the amount of industrial production was fixed in Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Armenia and Moldova. Georgia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan did not presented information on development of this sector of economy, Trend informs, citing Radio Liberty.
