Special chemical program to be prepared in Sumgait

Special program concerning development of chemical industry in Sumgait will be prepared.

As APA reports according to the Head of the Sumgait city Executive Power Vagif Aliyev, large amount of investment is required for rehabilitation of chemical industry. The program will be focused on foreign investment attraction.

According to V.Aliyev, it is planned to construct the polypropylene production unit in Sumgait by 2008.

The Azerkimya State Company holds negotiations with foreign companies. Building of this unit will cost $250 million.
