Georgia partially returns back electricity received from Azerbaijan

Georgia returns electricity received from Azerbaijan back in volume of 100 thousand kWh on certain days.

As APA reports according to the press-service of the Azerenergy Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC), the energy systems of Azerbaijan and Georgia operate in parallel mode at present and it enables the Georgian party to partially return received electric energy back during a day. The rest of the electricity debt will be given back in subsequent months.

It should be noted that more than 3.688 million kWh of electric energy was delivered to Georgia from Azerbaijan from January 22 to 30.

Although delivery of electricity to Georgia has been halted since January 29 due to the accident happened in the energy system of Azerbaijan, electric energy supply to the neighboring country has been resumed since yesterday. 500-600 thousand kWh of electricity is delivered to Georgia daily at present.
