Official monetary reserves forecasted to increase by 50% in 2006

The National bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) predicts official currency reserve to increase by 50% to $1.5 milliard during the current year.

As APA reports being informed by the adviser of the chair of the Board of NBA Shahmar Movsumov, in 2006 official monetary reserves are expected to grow in a stable form as during the past year.

According to the initial information, while monetary reserves increased by 15% in 2005 and totaled $1 milliard by the beginning of this year, this figure is forecasted to increase by 50% more to $1.5 milliard in 2006.
