Insurance premium and payments increased for over one third

For the 9 months of the current year the premium of the Azerbaijan’s insurance companies constituted 346,35 billion AZM.

The figure is by 30,7 percents more of the analogues period for the last year, the head of the chief department on insurance supervision under the Finance Ministry Beybala Hankishiyev told Trend.

"The insurance payments increased by 38,1 percents as compared to the same period of the last year and their total volume was 60,6 billion AZM", - he noted. In the premium structure 20,97 billion AZM fell at obligatory, and 325,38 billion AZM for voluntary insurance.

"The growth of these indices was respectively 19,1 percents and 31,6 percents", - Hankishiyev noted. The payments on obligatory insurance reduced by 16,9 percents, and on voluntary - grew by 50,4 percents. "Thus, on the results of the 9 months 2005 the payments on obligatory insurance constituted 6,65 billion AZM, on voluntary – 53,95 billion AZM", - Hankishiyev noted.
