In the period starting January up to September 2005 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Azerbaijan grew 21.8% as compared to the previous year. On October 1, the GDP grew 6.7 trillions manats making it 40.9 trillions manats in total.
The share of the GDP rose from 60.3% to 65.1%, while services reduced from 32.4% to 27.3%.
Net taxes from goods and import made up 7.6% in the GDP. For this period of time the GDP produced in Azeri industry sphere comprised 19.6 trillions manats or 48.1% of the GDP.
The value added generation in agriculture, hunting and forestry was 2.9 trillions manats (7%), in construction sector – 4.1 trillions manats (10.1%), in transport sector – 2.5 trillions manats (6%), communications sector – 1 trillions manats (2.4%).
Wholesale and retail trade, automobile sector, home appliances and repair services of private property – 2.9 trillions manats (7.1%), restaurant and hotel sector – 292.2 billions manats (0.7%), social and other services – 4.5 trillions manats (11.1%).
