Meeting of Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents took place in Kiyev

The friendship of these countries is a good example, it was stressed. Commissioning of the BTC oil pipeline the sides appreciated as the event of great importance for both countries and the region on the whole. And the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline, according to them, will contribute to the expansion of cooperation.   

Heads of states underlined, that territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Georgia will give comprehensive impetus to the stable peace, economic progress and prosperity in the region.

The sides stated that they would do everything for widening ties with Europe and close integration into the European-Atlantic area.
