98% of word processors manufactured on INTEL technologies in Azerbaijan

Ultra company, an official distributor of Intel in the region, told Trend over the past 3 years the corporation invested around $6.2bn in the development of education system in CIS and plans to in crease investing in his sphere in future. Azerbaijan is one of the dynamically developing countries among 180 world nations where Intel is active.

The company said that on 7 March 2005 senior official of Intel paid a fact- finding visit to Azerbaijan. They attended a summit held at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies on 8 March with Education minister Misir Mardanov, Communications and Information Technologies

Minister Ali Abbasov, as well as Shamsaddin Hajiyev, the rector of the Azerbaijan State Economy University, Abel Maharramov, the rector of the Baku State University, Ahliman Amiraslanov, the rector of the State Medical University, Khaver Mammadov, the rector of the Azerbaijan State Technical University. The forum discussed issues of cooperation between the universities and corporation in the sphere of teaching and use advanced information technologies in the teaching process.

Intel Corporation is one of the major producers in the sphere of information technologies from 1968 with annual incomes of $34bn.
