The European Union (EU) Program on Technical Assistance, TACIS, on Azerbaijan has prepared and will submit shortly the Ministries and departments two new reviews on local legislation.
Asgar Alabarov, the Director of the Coordinating Bureau of the EU Technical Assistance, the reviews were dedicated to the legislation in the sphere of entrepreneurship and defense of consumer rights.
The reviews contain comparative analysis, defining the conformity and non- conformity of the local legislation to European standards.
Earlier reviews on legal normative acts were held in some spheres such as technical standards, phitosanitary norms, copyrights and intellectual property, competition, legislation and telecommunications sector.
The previous reviews were presented to the relevant administrations and they are to submit shortly replies and proposals on the directions of their interest. "In particular, they rendered assistance to the State Committee on standardization and metrology and the Agriculture Ministry in the form of transfer of relevant euro-directives, organization of trainings," Alakbarov noted.
