Unified communal tariff to be set up in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani government is preparing for injecting tariffs on different communal services for all consumers, Farhad Aliyev, the Minister for Economic Development, told a business forum held in Sumgayit on Tuesday.
Lower tariffs were set up for some consumers of natural gas, but further all consumers will pay charges at equal tariffs, including energy and different communal services.

Talking journalists the Minister noted the sometimes tariffs established by natural monopolies came into force after the unification with the Ministries of Finance, Economic Development, Industry and Energy, and the government. "The Ministry has received proposals on increase of natural gas tariffs from Azerigas. They will be considered shortly and submitted to the government,' Aliyev underscored.

Azeigas proposes to increase tariffs for all consumers to 200,000 manats per 1000 cu m.
