Goods turnover with Italy reaches $1,722 bn in 2004

In 2004 the goods turnover between Azerbaijan and Italy comprised $1,722bn. In 2002 the figure comprised $1,200bn, in 2003 - $1,420bn, The State Customs Committee told Trend.
The announcement was made in a meeting with Margarita Costa, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan.

Heydarov stated that an agreement on mutual administrative aid I preventing, investigating and removal of customs violations between the Azerbaijani and Italian governments. The document will enable to develop bilateral cooperation in the customs sphere.

In her turn Costa noted the efforts by the Azerbaijani and Italian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Karlo Champini and Italian Prime minister Silvio Berloskoni in the development of bilateral relationships.
