Azerbaijan undersigns TACIS regional program for 2004 FY

The Coordinating Bureau of the EU Technical Assistance Program (TACIS) in Azerbaijan said now the program with the budget of 45m euros for all countries of the region involve din the project.

The European Commission should prepare necessary technical tasks on the project for commissioning the program. The project on the technical support of a 1m euro credit of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the construction of the Hajigabul-Kurdamir railway route will come as the first project.

The new program will be implemented by 31 December 2011. 15m euros out of its budget is directed at the development of natural resources, enhancing the trade and investments, legal and administrative reforms. Regional program of TACIS for 2003 FY with he budget of 36.5m euros was signed in September 2004.
