Biysk Oleum Plant in Russia’s Altai region will begin delivery of octane-increasing additives in Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the plant Viktor Golovin said on May 25 commenting on the results of his visit to Azerbaijan.

“Ecotsetol has been produced at the Biysk Oleum Plant since 2010. Our first installation had a capacity of 3,000-3,500 tons per year. At the moment, as a result of measures to improve the technical process, its stabilization and automation, we have achieved a production capacity of 20,000 tons per year,” Golovin said.

He added that the plant’s high-quality additives are today supplied to such companies as Rosneft and Gazpromneft.

“Hopefully, we will also supply them to SOCAR (Azerbaijani state-owned oil company) – our Azerbaijani partners,” Golovin added.

The executive director was a member of the Altai region’s delegation to Azerbaijan on May 14-18. During the visit to Baku, a preliminary agreement was reached on the supply of octane-increasing additives produced in Biysk.

The Ecotsetol additive of the Biysk Oleum Plant allows to bring the diesel fuel up to the quality standards Euro-4 and Euro-5.

In addition, the plant expects to increase the volume of the additives export in the framework of the agreements reached in February 2017 during the visit of a delegation from Belarus to the Altai region.

Supply of the additives to Belarus and Azerbaijan will result in a new leap in the development of the Biysk Oleum Plant and will increase its revenue to more than $16 million.
